Personality: He dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the north. He spends most of his days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There he gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: Born in the north to a Painter, Bernard learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

He wears large thick round spectacles.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Nuraval's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He is cautious and jumpy. He reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: Nuraval was born with his father's beautiful face. His father was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. Recently a tribe of giants attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Nuraval fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: When he was but 8 years old his parents immigrated from the north. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Layabout hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent father; and his relatives are trying to arrange a marriage
