History: Gerald lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Cook hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Dwarven conditions. Being a Armorer kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored.
