History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Gimble was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His father worked until he suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. He had to support his now crippled father and took his father's old job. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.

A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. Recently a tribe of brigands attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls.
