During his travels, Takra and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Takra discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Takra fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Naill was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. While he appears to be a normal Elf, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.
