History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.

History: Reynard was born with his mother's beautiful face. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Reynard grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Reynard. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions

Description: This younger middle-aged man very much looks the part of a Bather, and a wedding ring on his right hand. His fur is greying and his face has many wrinkles. He wears an eyepatch.

Personality: Elegant is a sociable creature first and foremost. He loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. He can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.

History: Born in the west to a Bather, Elegant learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. A gifted student he started as a Spice Merchant, but he got bored and became a Bather. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
