History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: He loves justice and goodness and right action. Anyone who does not fulfill this criteria perfectly will no doubt get a lecture from him. He is the most sanctimonious self-righteous Gnome in existence. He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. Ostracized due to the martial powers of his oldest brother, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Gnomes became a terror of the countryside. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Sabotage a competitor; and wants to have a good time and be beloved

Personality: He is very quiet and rarely speaks above a whisper. He is a logical person and will generally grow upset if things defy logic and science.

History: He was born at the edge of vast island. In his 16th year, his parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Berrian alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Bookbinder and was forced into it by his family; and a deep hatred of brigands

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He is a logical person and will generally grow upset if things defy logic and science.

History: Gimurt was born the youngest of three triplets. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage.

Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. He never wears the same outfit twice, unless he absolutely has to.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Gilthur was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He tends to his Map Maker job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister; and marry his sister to traveling adventurers
