Personality: He shows great sympathy to all travelers. He's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. He is cautious and jumpy. He reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. River liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

Personality: Cocky and sure of himself, he believes he is the best Layabout born in the past three hundred years. He is obsessed with a lost civilization.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Halfling companion (his 'brother'). Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Damien was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the illithids.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Layabout responsibilities is difficult.
