History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Personality: He hates dire rats. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. Energy wise he seems alert and responsive.

History: Born to a Sage, his mother struggled to pay the bills. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

History: The child of a Tanner, who enjoyed hunting, Frederick was taken on many hunting expeditions. He found a children's book about a Human Paladin who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature pickaxe.
