History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He found a children's book about a Elf Wizard who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. During his travels, Raer and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Raer discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.
