History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Cursed with vampirism at a very young age, Baern has worked very hard to control his curse. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

History: His mother raised him in a mountain cabin. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.
