Through the years after Damakos was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Damakos's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: To be a Carter again; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

History: His mother raised him in a mountain cabin. Gûndza liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.
