History: Gifted from a young age, Tharivol studied abroad. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by gnolls. Tharivol was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the gnolls.

Through the years after Emerald was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Emerald's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
