Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. He claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day he will do what he thinks is right.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. While he appears to be a normal Elf, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Personality: He is business-like. He takes instructions and follows them to the letter. He claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day he will do what he thinks is right.

History: Vondal hails from a village terrorized by giants. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by giants. Vondal was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the giants.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Map Maker responsibilities is difficult; and further expansion of business

Personality: Nim wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Monk, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.

History: Gifted from a young age, Nim studied abroad. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature pickaxe.

Motivation: Marry his sister to traveling adventurers.

Description: A 4'11" northern man, he wears suspenders and red workpants. His shirt is white, and he wears a heavy red leather apron most of the time. With a patchy blonde beard and wild blonde hair. His hazel eyes dart from person to person.

Personality: He is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends he is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy himself. He dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Guard arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He became a Guard soon after.

Description: He is a physically imposing dark-skinned man. He wears clothing that is held on in multiple layers but all of it is in poor condition. His brown hair is lengthy. He has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. He wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Hunter embodies much of what other species detest in the Half-Elves. He keeps company with all sorts of races to see how they think and challenge minds foreign to his own.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Hunter was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. In his 10th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Hunter alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and someone believes him a fraud
