History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He now mingles about in high society.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by drow, and he desires to right it; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge

History: Shifting was raised in a hard working conservative environment. At a young age his mother died while driving off some illithids. His father being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train him in bow use.
