Ostracized due to the martial powers of his oldest brother, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Dwarves became a terror of the countryside. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

At a young age he wooed the heart of his future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.
