His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Ratak was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. After coming to the age of reason, Ratak took it upon himself to study the psionic arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland.
