He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: Chay was born in the north. At a young age he loved to build and create. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Personality: The man has a huge range of feeling. He will range from being happy and joking with the occasional self put down to crying stating how he will be a better person from this day on. Around other people he will do his best to conceal his emotions and appear jolly.

History: He was born in the west, but his parents moved at a very young age to the north. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. Some 10 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Balam never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.

Motivation: He is wracked by social anxiety; and he feels threatened by others

A serious injury left his father unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.
