History: Born in the south to a Engraver, Shadow learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Description: His right thumb is blackened and bruised, but otherwise he appears quite healthy. He is generally well dressed albeit a few years behind the times. His hair is auburn and very short. His face is full, his cheeks are rosy, and he always seems to sport a perfect smile and a twinkle in his gray eyes.

Personality: He is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. He is lazy, self-centered, vain, and jealous.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. After a long history of fighting, Berrian and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister.

Personality: He is inclined to make off color jokes and interpret anything that could be construed as such as innuendo. He enjoys reading and quiet.

History: He was born in the north, but his parents moved at a very young age to the east. In his 20th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world.
