History: A powerful wizard made him what he is. When Burto reached his early adolescence his Halfling mother passed away. Recently a tribe of giants attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Merchant work with an outfit from a few towns over. Merchant work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: A rambunctious noisy drunk he knows how to make people feel guilty. He feeds upon the attention of others.

History: Jak was born with his father's beautiful face. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Halfling companion (his 'brother'). He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

Motivation: He feels kind of lost in life; and to fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He is a logical person and will generally grow upset if things defy logic and science.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: He shows great sympathy to all travelers. He's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. He will do just about anything if he becomes convinced it is for someone's true love, of this he is easily convinced.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Rolen was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Scribe. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent mother; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs
