Description: This eastern man's face is deformed and paralyzed on one side. As such, he slurs his words together. He wears a yellow vest and prefers black and tan shirts. His boots appear to have been at one point steel toed but are quite worn down. Sporting a auburn mohawk and bushy mustache this man's hair draws a lot of attention. He wears an eyepatch.
Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. He enjoys reading and quiet.
History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Shepherd. He's also a talented Ploughman, but doesn't like to broadcast it.
Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern.

Description: A well shaped man just over fifty, he wears a green feathered hat and green clothes. His black hair is matted, messy, and big. Judging by the bloodshot nature of his eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine he has not slept for days.
Personality: He is envious of other's things. He hoards treasure, art, food, wine, and anything that he so desires. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of dire rats may trigger it at times.
History: The child of a Butcher, who enjoyed hunting, Travok was taken on many hunting expeditions. Travok liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.
Motivation: Many dire rats want him driven away; and he wants revenge against dire rats

Description: He is a paragon of his species. He is larger and stronger than most Gnomes. His skin is dark but he possesses many brown ritualistic tattoos. He wears a violet collared shirt and brown pants. He accessorizes with a blue scarf around the waist and a strap diagonally across his shirt. His hair is golden and curly. His thin eyebrows rest above his beady green eyes.
Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. His home and work are filled with various knick knacks he has acquired through the years. He cares a great deal for his adopted teenage son.
History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. He was a friend to animals and a trickster. In his defense of animals however he would do severe harm to people. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Courier and was forced into it by his family; and marry his brother to traveling adventurers

He walks with a slouch but will stand straight to his full 4'4" when asserting himself. Sporting a red mohawk and bushy mustache this man's hair draws a lot of attention. His eyes are a pleasant blue.
Personality: He likes to brag about his accomplishments and constantly tries to beat others to the punch. Around other people he will do his best to conceal his emotions and appear jolly.
History: When he was but 3 years old his parents immigrated from the north. At a young age he wooed the heart of his future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.
Motivation: A deep hatred of dire rats; and many dire rats want him driven away

Description: He is an average looking northern male in his early mid-life. He wears an amalgamation of clothes and depending on the season will wear more layers of the continuing hodge podge. His silver hair is knotted and matted. His face is covered beneath a completely black helmet.
Personality: He barks his statements quickly and with little fuss. He prefers small words and is at his heart utilitarian. He does not mind isolation but does not hate company and attempts to receive them as best as possible.
History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Roland was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Roland decided he wanted neither the life of his father nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.
Motivation: He is terrified, and will act out of fear; and he has decided he is irredeemable
