They became the best of friends and one day they managed to break out together and then went their separate ways.

History: He was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and retire the richest man in the west

This search led him directly into Baker work with an outfit from a few towns over. Baker work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
