History: Born in the west to a Spice Merchant, Gerald learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. He has achieved small success as a Spice Merchant.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion; and balancing his hectic life and new spice merchant responsibilities is difficult

He keeps his long brown hair kept up in a rat tail. He was beautiful and young once, which still shows through his age, but it is a faded beauty.

Personality: He is a jovial happy person, but he is convinced people are living their lives too quickly. A fanatic, his devotion to his small selection of gods is unquestionable. He claims to be doing their will and will base all his actions on whether or not they would be pleasing to the gods.

History: He was born in the east. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent father; and wants to raise his children well

Description: This younger middle-aged man is dressed in earthy colors with a grey and tan handkerchief worn on his left side, and a wedding ring on his left hand. He has a small bristly mustache and wavy chestnut hair. His ears are large.

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist he will grow angry at them.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. Through the years after Barendd was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Barendd's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has recently attracted an admirer that believes he's playing hard to get.

Motivation: To settle down with his crush.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Revenge; and many giants want him driven away

Personality: He is witty, but his monotone delivery comes off as unnerving As long as the job gets done he does not care how it got done.

History: He comes from a rich northern family. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He now mingles about in high society.
