History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Nordak was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. After a long history of fighting, Nordak and his spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: He is calm most of the time but flees social interaction. He does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: Ulfgar lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Personality: He is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before his hampering stammer kicks in. When he's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, he's doing dancing.

History: Tûgog was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: Born in the west his family was never financially stable. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Personality: Prone to second guessing himself, he comes off as nervous. He has a minor phobia of water and hates getting wet.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. In his 16th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
