He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. Some 6 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Roland never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his father had trained him before.

When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Through the years after Laucian was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Laucian's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. He is accommodating to his spouse and as such limits his hospitality. He is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven himself a capable leader.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He became part of the deadliest team of assassins in recent memory. A botched job caused the group to be disbanded. He would ruin relationships and cause injury. He was reprimanded several times before being given his current form and forced to learn humility.
