History: Modean hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. Modean was born on a far eastern island where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Servant. History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his mother. In his 13th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
