The family never returned to the island due to the painful memories there. Vassago took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up spear and armor he uses now. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the south. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind.
