Shivering's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

The war was a terrible time for him, and Great does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. A gifted student he started as a Courier, but he got bored and became a Junk Dealer. He now owns his own business.

His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. History: Ulblyn lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. In his 15th year, his parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Ulblyn alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.
