History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. Through the years after Varis was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Varis's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Varis and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Dragonborns in the south were limited. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs
