During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. He's also a talented Detective, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Ahvain fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Personality: He is business-like. He takes instructions and follows them to the letter. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of illithids may trigger it at times.

History: Born to a Dyer, his father struggled to pay the bills. In his 11th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Mugrunden alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it; and many illithids want him driven away
