Description: An imposing man with a heavy stainless steel prosthetic right hand, he dresses well, wearing brown shirts, loose pants, and blazers most of the time. His hair is blonde and curly. He tend to wears goggles to shield his eyes.

Personality: He is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends he is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy himself. The war was a terrible time for him, and Aelar does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. Since his father passed away years ago, his mother had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Aelar fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the south. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

Personality: He is a very philanthropic person; he spends his free time working at various soup kitchens. He is obsessed with his god.

History: Aldous was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Bard, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Bard in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Personality: He hates illithids. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. When he's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, he's doing dancing.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. At some point he was captured by illithids and was tortured. After several years of this he finally managed to escape. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud.
