History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. A gifted student he started as a Tailor, but he got bored and became a Dyer. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. His brief stint in the army gave him the idea he was invincible and that he is the toughest man alive.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. When William reached his early adolescence his Human father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. William was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the dire rats.

He saw this and took pride in his father's willingness to do anything to win. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out; and a rival would like him out of the picture

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. He picked a direction and started trekking.

Motivation: He's looking for his big break.
