He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Personality: A rambunctious noisy drunk he knows how to make people feel guilty. Animals are drawn to him, and he is able to talk to them.

History: He got into the Doctor business at a young age. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He tends to his Doctor job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Personality: Overbrimming with self-confidence, Balam isn't afraid of most anything. He has a strong dislike to people who do not believe in Tiefling unity. He cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist he will grow angry at them.

History: He was born into a rich family. When Balam reached his early adolescence his Tiefling father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: He feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help; and he possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: He is filled with cunning. He likes to feign weakness letting people think he is weak. He is skeptical of what others tell him and is slow to trust.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when gnolls swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His parents were killed by gnolls in a raid when he was still a young child. The gnolls captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He wants revenge against gnolls.
