Description: A plain young-adult man, he wears loose pants and a collared shirt complete with sweater beneath his coat. His golden hair is greasy and uncared for. His otherwise smooth face is marked with small tiny scars.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Miles's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He will often invite strangers home for dinner and talk their ears off. He cares deeply for his spouse and does his best to make sure his guests look presentable.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He found a children's book about a Human Commoner who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

History: His mother raised him in a mountain cabin. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Sellsword hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Wants to have a good time and be beloved; and a deep hatred of giants

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. Like his mother and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Roofer. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 15 years.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. Like his mother and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Barrister. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: He is always cheerful, even with a hangover, and is always willing to go through all sorts of trouble to help his friends. He considers everything a fun event and doesn't hold grudges. He also hits on women, regardless of circumstances.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when orcs swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He's attracted to the PC; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by orcs, and he desires to right it
