History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his mother. A few years later when the east was not economically sound they moved to his current location. Some 9 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Ekemon never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.

Personality: He believes mankind has become decadent and spoiled by the march of civilization and an end should come to life as we know it. He would rather hide behind his crafts than deal with other people.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. His father took him hunting and taught him how to get in the mind of other creatures. Recently a tribe of orcs attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Traubon fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother.

Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. He works hard and plays hard.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Gnomes in the east were limited. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world.

His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. He is accommodating to his spouse and as such limits his hospitality. He is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven himself a capable leader.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His family was turned out during the war. He and his family wandered north to less war torn lands. Some 10 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Harbek never married again. Personality: He never swears and excessively uses polite adverbs when speaking. He is often prim and proper but will on occasion tell either really disgusting or offensive jokes, which seem out of character.

History: He comes from a rich northern family. A freak accident while working with his Navigator father left him crippled. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Detective responsibilities is difficult; and he has money and likes to spend it
