Personality: Berrian is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.

History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his mother. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Motivation: To unite with his sister; and wants to raise his children well

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Nirgel is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He now spends his time doing works of charity.
