Personality: He does not care much for physical appearances, nor does he care much for other people. He does however care about what he wants and getting it. He is skeptical of what others tell him and is slow to trust.

History: He was born in the east, but his parents moved at a very young age to the west. In his 10th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Burgell alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge.

Personality: He has a good heart but also a terrible temper. He will forgive often but not before yelling and berating someone for whatever they have done wrong. He takes great joy in being the best Servant in town.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. His first spouse was a Scribe, they had one son, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion

Personality: He is curt in most of his responses. He prefers to keep his word usage to a minimum to avoid giving away unnecessary information. Any perceived weakness will be pressed and exploited. He is seen as merciless and passionate.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture; and he feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help

Personality: His tongue was cut out and he uses sign language. He never wears the same outfit twice, unless he absolutely has to.

History: Born to a Priest, his father struggled to pay the bills. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Motivation: He wants to meet his childhood hero; and he's looking for his big break

Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Interpreter but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: He was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family Through the years after Roland was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Roland's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Motivation: He feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help; and he is a bit of a kleptomaniac
