History: Born in the west his family was never financially stable. He has had some formal poetry training, and achieved minor success. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by brigands. Aelar was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the brigands.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by brigands, and he desires to right it.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, he was no stranger to responsibility. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He wants random interesting trinkets and junk, hates to throw anything away; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge
