History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Through the years after Emerald was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. History: He got into the Knight business at a young age. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Gnomish companion (his 'brother'). He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Kipper was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
