History: The child of a Scribe, who enjoyed hunting, William was taken on many hunting expeditions. He has had some formal music training, and achieved minor success. Being a Fortune-teller kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Motivation: He possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal; and he feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. As a young child he wandered into the woods despite his mother's warnings against it. Afterwards he claimed he had encountered gnolls who tried to eat his hand. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Osco grew up listening to his father's many stories. He found a children's book about a Halfling Ranger who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.
