History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. He has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
