Description: This man is tall and muscular. He wears a weathered and beat up set of banded mail beneath an oversized grey coat. His white hair, when down, is lengthy. He wears large thick round spectacles.

Personality: A deeply religious man he believes everything happens for a reason. He has zero loyalty and will suck up to whomever is within range, in the hopes of being moved to a better position.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Balam was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Balam fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
