Personality: He hates orcs. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. His philosophy is that everyone needs a friend and as such shows hospitality towards all.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Shepherd arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

He cares a great deal for his adopted teenage daughter.

History: He was raised by priests from a young age. Through the years after Shump was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Shump's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He has worked as a Guard like his mother before him.
