History: He got into the Scribe business at a young age. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. Recently a tribe of drow attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Personality: He likes to brag about his accomplishments and constantly tries to beat others to the punch. He has a cruel streak; something he gained from his previous mentor. He harbors resentment against his former mentor.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. After a long history of fighting, Sammal and his spouse have recently divorced.

He refers to his adoptive father for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.
