Medrash fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.

History: A powerful necromancer made him what he is. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Soapmaker.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Morthos grew up listening to his mother's many stories. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Shipwright for hire.
