History: He was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family He became part of the deadliest team of assassins in recent memory. A botched job caused the group to be disbanded. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
