History: Zedaar lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Through the years after Zedaar was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Zedaar's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Like his mother and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Detective. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Detective for the past few years.

Personality: Eccentric and domineering, Direcris will drive conversation. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of dire rats may trigger it at times.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. A serious injury left his father unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He wants revenge against dire rats.

History: He was born into a rich family. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his mother's willingness to do anything to win. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture; and he has money and likes to spend it
