History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Rurik was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Through the years after Rurik was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Rurik's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Rurik and his spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: He can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. He is susceptible to being scared and is in actuality easily frightened. He likes to tell stories.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and he is wracked by social anxiety

Personality: While he is on the job, he is grim and serious. He understands how dangerous the world is and the need to stay safe. More though he will beg to come along on any journeys. He will attempt to stowaway on any ship he can in the hopes that it will get him further away.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. Being a Brewer kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and to end his boredom

Personality: He has a massive crush on the younger sibling of the Barkeep who has hired him part-time. On top of that he is swayed by a pretty face, and while loyalty to his employer will always come first he doesn't like to hit women.

History: Born in the west to a Barkeep, Adran learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. A gifted student he started as a Farmer, but he got bored and became a Barkeep. He tends to his Barkeep job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.
