Personality: Here is a man who knows he is the smartest in the room. He talks down to others constantly. He is accommodating to his spouse and as such limits his hospitality. He is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven himself a capable leader.

History: He was born in the north. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. He claims to not be responsible.

Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Varis is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his father. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Half-Elves in the north were limited. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. A freak accident while working with his Bellfounder mother left him crippled. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.
