Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He is skeptical of what others tell him and is slow to trust.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Marshal.

Motivation: He'd like to take his coworkers down a peg; and balancing his hectic life and new marshal responsibilities is difficult

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his mother. In his 10th year, his parents were killed by a goblins raid, leaving Roland alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by goblins. Roland was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the goblins.
