Because his father participated in the massacre of their homeland, brigands burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the south, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his mother from journeying south to reunite his family. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by brigands. Theobald was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the brigands.

Personality: He believes mankind has become decadent and spoiled by the march of civilization and an end should come to life as we know it. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of goblins may trigger it at times.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. When Gorbundus reached his early adolescence his Dragonborn father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. He was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and to share knowledge with the world
